The death has occurred of John (Jack) Donovan

Clonmullion Retirement Village, Athy, Kildare

Jack, originally from Mullaghmast, Athy, left us on March 14, 2024. He was greeted on the other side by his dear parents Mag and Joe, his brothers Mick, Kevin, Patrick, Tony, sister Mag, and his cherished dog Max. Jack’s legacy lives on through his beloved daughter Sahara, and his treasured grandchildren, Jake and Haydee, who, along with Sahara’s partner Jack, feel his absence deeply.

He is also fondly remembered by his remaining siblings Joe, Donal, and a wide circle including Clement, Shane, Ollie, Raymond, Derek, and Emily, alongside sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and neighbours who felt the warmth of his generous spirit. Among these, his dear friend Stephen, Cillian (Crow), Dylan, Jade, Ellie, James, and many others, recall the countless moments of laughter and camaraderie shared with Jack.

Jack was renowned for his unwavering belief that “Dogs are better than people,” a testament to his immense love for canines. His passion extended to the football field as a devoted fan of Liverpool FC, embodying the spirit of loyalty and camaraderie that defines the club. His generosity knew no bounds; Jack was the type of friend who wouldn’t hesitate to give you the shirt off his back.

His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory lives on, cherished and celebrated by all whose lives he touched. Jack’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and an unshakeable belief in the goodness of both dogs and people alike.

This youtube video *and four more, will be offline for a moment. The family sent indirect communication to me, asking me to not display my tribute to Jack Donovan. I told them I would take it down temporarily. *March 20th 2024 Video URL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgEYesy5aXw
